Who owns this publication, and what we do about it.

HOA Tech Report is owned by HOA Wiz, Inc., the company that makes HOA Wiz, a software platform for homeowners associations. We cover the category HOA Wiz competes in, including its direct competitors.

Why we say so

A reader deciding how to trust a review needs to know who paid for it. Ownership is the largest fact of that kind, so it goes in the footer of every page, in an inline notice on every page where HOA Wiz appears, and here in full. We would rather be judged on a disclosed method than trusted on an undisclosed one.

How the conflict is handled

1. Same rubric, no exceptions. HOA Wiz is scored with the published rubric and the same evidence rules as every other product. The weights were frozen before any product — including ours — was scored.
2. Inline notice. Any review, comparison, roundup or news item that includes HOA Wiz carries an ownership notice at the top of the article body, not only in the footer.
3. Editor sign-off. The editor, not the founder, approves every score. The founder writes under a real byline that states the affiliation.
4. Concessions are published. Where a competitor is better on a dimension, the review says so. A comparison that never lets our product lose would not be worth reading.
5. No money changes hands for coverage. No affiliate links, no sponsored placements, no vendor payments in any direction. Press access (demo accounts, briefings, image kits) is accepted from any vendor on equal terms and disclosed on the piece.
6. Reader data stays here. Analytics are aggregate and cookieless. We do not pass reader data or leads to HOA Wiz, Inc.. See the privacy page.

What this is not

This is not an independent publication in the ownership sense, and we do not describe it as one. It is a trade publication with a declared owner, a published method, and a named editor who is accountable for what appears here. Readers are entitled to weigh that as they see fit.
